BIOGRAPHY

Kristina Leskel was born in Lithuania in 1980. She obtained a Bachelor Degree in Industrial Design from Vilnius Art Academy.

Kristina’s creativity has manifested itself in the production of paintings, sculpture and drawing as well as photography. Her interest now is mainly in painting as an art form.

After she completed her studies Kristina left Lithuania and travelled extensively throughout Europe where she developed her painting skills. She had the good fortune to encounter a great deal of support for her work along the way selling paintings pretty much as swiftly as she made them.

Kristina arrived in Nantucket in 2002 and rapidly developed a reputation as a mural painter working with Karen Ward, Chris Bonelli and Audrey Sterk.

She exhibited regularly art the Artist Association and more recently with Thomas Henry Gallery both in Nantucket and in London.

Her arrival at the Thomas Henry Gallery introduced her work to a wider audience and increased her success enormously. In 2008 Kristina exhibited in a group show in Cork Street curated by Paul Copson the gallery owner where all her work sold on the first night! She has also shown at various art fairs in London with Thomas Henry Gallery.
